Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen is encouraging our Capitol Hill businesses to be designated as an Age Friendly Business. The initiative via the Washington DC Economic Partnership aims to identify businesses that are Age Friendly. Age Friendly businesses are those who provide a welcoming atmosphere, excellent customer service, and easy access for seniors in the community. Seniors represent 20% of the Ward 6 population. The designation will allow seniors to identify age friendly businesses via a certificate, window decal, and online listing.
