Tony Tomelden was born in DC and, except for time at Villanova University, has spent his life in DC and Prince George’s County. In 1996, he opened the Capitol Lounge for Joe Englert. There’s a good chance he has served at least some of you a beer there, and if not there, maybe at the Pug, a bar he opened in 2007 on H street. He is involved in other bars and restaurants around the city, but Ward 6 is where his businesses have always been anchored. Tony works to maximize the relationships he has built over the years on Capitol Hill to help existing businesses thrive, foster new ones, and make a great neighborhood even better.
