Tony Tomelden was born in DC and except for time at Villanova University, has spent his life in DC and Prince George’s county. In 1996, he opened the Capitol Lounge for Joe Englert. There’s a good chance he has served at least some of you a beer there, and if not there, maybe at the Pug, a bar he opened in 2007 on H street. He is involved in other bars and restaurants around the city, but clearly, Ward 6 has always been where his businesses were always anchored. Tony is hoping to maximize the relationships he has built over the years on Capitol Hill to help the existing businesses thrive and foster new businesses, and make a great neighborhood even better.
