Skin Beauty Bar joined CHAMPS when it first opened in 2020 as a way to become more connected and involved with it local business community. Ms. Mathis says, “Being part of a collaborative network that supports local businesses and works to strengthen the District (of Columbia) was important to me. I wanted to stay informed, contribute to growth of the area, and be an active participant in the community’s success.”

Her CHAMPS membership has provided valuable networking opportunities, increased visibility of Skin Beauty Bar, and access to resources that support and grow her business. She goes on to say, “It also offers a sense of community knowing there is a collective of business owners working together to promote Eastern Market.” She also appreciates the collaboration, shared marketing efforts, and advocacy for local businesses that CHAMPS provides.
