Skip Thompson Bio:

As an Edward Jones Financial Advisor, I believe its important to invest my time to understand what you’re working toward when you invest your money. Working closely with you and your CPA, attorney, and other professionals, I can determine the most appropriate financial strategy for you and your family. I can also help with your retirement savings strategy so you have more options when you retire, regardless of what you decide to do.

Presently, I have an office in downtown DC, and am actively looking for a Capitol Hill location. As a resident of The Hill, it is extremely important to me to be a part of the community by helping my fellow residents in achieving their financial goals.  I joined Edward Jones in June of 2015. I have worked with financial institutions for my entire career. Most recently as director of sales for the Eastern U.S.  I hold Series, 7, 66, and insurance licenses for DC, Maryland, and Virginia.  I am also licensed in other states where clients reside.  I currently serve on the board of HER Resiliency Center (www.herresiliencycenter.org). HER is a new nonprofit focused on assisting and supporting women age 18-25 who age out of foster care.

I attended West Virginia University earning a B.S. in Business Administration.  My daughter Amanda is a sophomore at James Madison University.
